The Properties tab is available only in the Edit mode of an element. Leaving the tab is possible only by exiting the mode. For this purpose, a menu bar with the Save and Cancel buttons is displayed at the bottom of the Inspector. All changes to the element are then accepted or discarded.

The properties of the element are displayed in groups. Groups can be expanded and collapsed. Only one group can be expanded at a time. Besides specific properties, each element has the following properties:
