Scheduled tasks

Scheduled tasks allow certain types of tasks to be run regularly on Windows clients. By default, the client is restarted daily at 4 am.

Note:

The sleep mode should be tested extensively under Windows beforehand, as this function depends on whether the devices (drivers) installed and configured under Windows properly support the sleep mode. Especially older devices (drivers) do not always fully support this Windows function.

You should also deactivate Hibernate mode under Windows (e.g. using command line: powercfg /h off) to ensure that SiteKiosk can send the Windows system to sleep and wake it up again at the configured times.

If you are still having problems, you should check that the option Sleep -> Allow wake timers is enabled in the advanced power settings of the Windows Control Panel.

Behavior on multiple displays

If the project is to be displayed on more than one screen, you can control how the content is displayed here.

Restarting SiteKiosk on Android

On Android devices, a restart can be triggered when the client has been running for the defined time and the client becomes inactive due to lack of user interaction.

Sleep mode on Android

Various settings are available to control the sleep mode on Android.

The client can be allowed to enter sleep mode when it is not connected to the power supply.

It can also be explicitly configured that the screen is not allowed to switch to sleep mode outside of sleep hours.

The sleep times define in which period the screen is allowed to switch to sleep mode.

Orientation

The screen orientation can either be set explicitly, determined by the system itself or by the orientation sensor.

Audio

SiteKiosk can control the audio settings on Windows. The system volume must be specified as a percentage.
